Re: Annoyance

...I want to add that my ocd is jesting, Ann! (& being "stranded" here in the middle of the continent for the last 18 years - counting the months though - I really need some lightheartedness!)
btw, anglophone native speakers: you should take it as a compliment if a sorta-kraut likes your language so much (despite your "cuisine") that he is reasonably proficient in it & cares about it's use (this does not immediately amount to real "grammar-nazism", particularly as I didn't object to people's grammar but their spelling...[I avoid "orthography" from now on...]

It is nice when people get back with their results. I remember years ago, someone was losing coolant from their engine. There were many good suggestions, from replacing heat exchangers to getting a pressure test done.

All of them were fairly expensive though, so I suggested as a starting point, trying a new pressure cap. Only around $10, and it might work.

The amount of crap that suggestion copped was incredible. So it was very nice when the OP came back and said it worked!

Re: Annoyance

I too see the drift but not as a bad thing. My view is we are having a nice on the subject discussion and the we will at times drift and have a very nice drift.

A purely on the subject discussion could be very short. And this is not what social media is all about. We are not just an online Q&A to Lofran's toilets. We are an agora, a place to meet and chat, too. Uh?

Kissskiss,
b.
