Annapolis Boat Transport Company

Am considering transporting our Sabre 36 from Annapolis to Toms River, N.J. and need to know a reputable company to use. Also, any idea of ball park cost? I figured the difference may be worth it as opposed to sailing her up to N.J. considering all the incurred costs along the way. Thanks.....

I had booked a movement with Sonny Norman. The move fell through when we rejected the boat at survey. We then had to cancel the move. Sonny was gracious about this. I found then reasonable and he has a high satisfaction listing on Uship.

Sonny is local to Annapolis.

Costs were about $3,500 from Tampa to Philadelphia. I don't think the type of boat matters much as long as it fits on the trailer OK.

In 2002 we used A&B Marine out of Bert Jabin's Yard on Back Creek and were pleased with the cost and service. See Yacht and Boat transport services by A&B Marine Trucking/Jabin Marine Transport .

However, given that the distance is so short and a Sabre 36 is such a strong boat, why not simply sail the boat in the Spring?

FWIW...
