I don't know if this makes me feel old or young, but I remember it all. Great music.
Thanks

Woodstock the song. By Joni, the writer and by CS&N.

I was back from the Nam and an instructor pilot for fresh meat at Cherry Point, NC.

Re: "Aging Hippies Music Thread"

Remember this?

I grew up in Fla. and we had a saying. "The fungus among us" Get it?

My dad went to Atlanta and brought us back the Beatles White Album about a week before our stores had it. We were cool for that week.
I've seen the Stones 5 times. I just gave my friend my Stones varsity jacket.I saw Led Zeppelins record setting show in Tampa Stadium. The next year or so they tried to break the record and there was a major riot. My grandmother was sick and we had to go out of town so I didn't get a ticket. We are driving through Tampa listening to the news of the riot at Tampa Stadium and I'm saying to my Dad, "The stadiums right there, let me out." I'm still pissed at him for not letting me go to the riot. LOL. Zepp never played.
WTF Was there no post of Pink Floyd especially Dark Side of The Moon. But which song?

Last concert was CSN about 10 years ago we got comped floor seats and the meet and greet afterwards. Pretty cool. Stephen Stills is a fantastic guitarist.

King Crimson, Traffic, The Who, Steely Dan, etc. The music was better.
Rap sucks. I absolutely hate it.

Re: "Aging Hippies Music Thread"

My mom told my sisters that they couldn't go to "that circus" because they had to watch my brother and I. I was 11, my brother was 10. We lived 2.5 hours from Woodstock and together with my sisters boyfriends and two little boys, my sisters drove us there in a 63 VW Beetle that kept breaking down.

My sisters turned into republicans. Those few days changed my life for the best. Thanks for reminding all of us of that.

Re: "Aging Hippies Music Thread"

Wow, future Republicans at Woodstock. I guess they didn't enjoy the experience?
