Advice for sailors

As a sailor, what kind of helpful apps does he need to install on his Android phone?

In addition to Navionics, I use:
Slim Jim's Anchor Alert

ChartCross Field Compass (great for taking a series of relative bearings on another vessel)
Chartcross GPS Test Plus
DGS Tides
Windyty

Re: Advice for sailors

ANCHOR ALARM. There are a few. We use Anchor Pro.
The Navionics remote apps so you can check on things from bed.
We also have an SSB but never replaced the Pactor modem due to cost, so we have an app (HF Weatherfax) that will let you tune your SSB to the weather and the phone physically listens to the tones and gets the weather that way.
The usual Windy or Windifinder, plus local weather apps.

Re: Advice for sailors

I only use AquaMap. It is my backup GPS chartplotter (primary sometimes as it is more updated than my chart chips), ActiveCaptain data, and tides and currents. It also has an anchor alarm that I never use.
