Re: A sailing story thread - feel free to add
After reading all this malarkey, he gave the boat away, flew home on a jet, took off hiking into the woods with a canoe paddle over one shoulder and when he was asked what was that funny looking stick he carrying, he built his cabin and lived happily ever after.....?

Re: A sailing story thread - feel free to add
And well may you ask "Why are they called The WheretheF*^kareWe Tribe.."
It's because the land they live in has grass 4ft high... being only 3ft the only way you know they are around is when a head pops up every now and then screaming their famous chant.....
He was promptly adopted as the All Seeing Divine Being and showered with all he desired...

And he did and next thing he knew he was in a marina in Maryland and a yatch broker was saying "you're the 1 million customer this year and get a 25% rebate from me on any boat you buy, just chose the one you want"*. So he looked around and .................
* now you really know this is all made up

And as the first mate contemplates the meaning of the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere, as she looks at the same star patterns the ancients did,

she thinks, "It's time to search out that Southern Cross I've heard so much about before it snows!"
Since the Captain was snoring down below she consulted the charts and set a course for warmer parts. With the sails set, a stiff breeze across the beam and a gentle sea she thought, "What could possibly go wrong?"

She was a stow away on the boat... and had been force into being the Galley slave until some knockout drops somehow ended up in the captain's coffee. Thus she assumed command of the sailboat
