A little sad....
I am a little sad today. We were decided to move aboard and begin our voyaging adventures in September. (or at least start preparing the boat). However, some of what we need to do first we are not getting cooperation from the powers that be. So we have pushed our dreams out 6 or 7 months.
Thars not a big deal and we knew we were pushing things to get going in September. The new time line is probably better.
But, I cant help but feel a little let down and worry that the passage of time may lead to more delays. I hope not! Touch wood everything goes smoothly.
If the boat were near we would just keep plugging away, but we are in Colorado and the boat is in Mexico so we cant do much there.
I just needed to vent a little.

Re: A little sad....
It'll all happen, be patient. I know, I know, telling someone to "be calm, be calm" never helps. But it will happen. Good luck. I know this because we had to move, not on a boat though darnit, and we had six weeks to get rid of or store everything. Easier we were in a rental, but still...

Re: A little sad....
If it helps, the wife and I are in the same boat. Time went from last September, to March, to October but realistically will probably be March next year at the earliest.
I put it down to over optimism and that sometimes life just gets in the way.

As your post is so cryptic I'm not finding much sympathy ooozing my system.
7 months is a LONG time! Make no mistake about that. Whatever your problem is try to find a creative way to overcome it and get back on track.
If you just leave later every time there is some problem you will never leave.
If your boat is in a yard being worked on ring them right now and tell then you have a bank problem and there is no more money. You boat will be fixed in a jiffy. If, on the other hand, you are just a reservoir of money to be sucked dry your boat will never be finished till you have been sucked.

Ha ha! That made me chuckle. Nope, I dont like to whine. Just vent, only my personal best will get the details in any case.
Which is to say, Im human and not imune to a bad mood every now and then.
I do appreciate those who have chimed in with well wishes and comiseration though. No matter the details, if your plans have been way laid it sucks! Sure "this too shall pass" but nothing is certain.
Funny, Im happier now as I get older. Hopefully wiser. But when you are young you have stupidity and "invincibility " on your side. In some ways they are both equal in my eyes.
Wise and happier but knowing time finite? Or stupid and invincible? Thats a tough call.

~41,000,000 cows are killed each year by humans in the US alone. As a matter of fact I'll put some cow parts on the barbie later on this afro.
Who are you afraid of now?

Cryptic is right.
Is it an issue with the boat or an issue with your parole board?
Just wundring.

A little sad....
One of the first lessons has to do with schedules. Mine are a whimsical thing anymore.

It's the secret of life mate, I am a much happier person now that I have learned to let everything just self prioritize.
