This place is quite well known around here and I thought you folks might get a kick out of the Cooper 416 dangling from the roof. I wouldn't want to be near that during an earthquake

Interesting!!! A Cooper 416 isn't exactly a racing boat (Pilot house cruiser is what it is!) but I'd want a way to climb aboard to hide/relax! but mostly it would have killed me to do that to a real boat!

Mr O’Brien stated the reasoning for putting up this boat in his ceiling was so that people remembered him for it. Besides that, he and his wife Koula have entertained people from all over the world here and this home is well known among the yachting community.

I'ma get on my high horse, people! Watch out...

Seems an odd thing to want to be remembered for. With the kind of financial resources it took to build that, I hope Mr. O'Brien has also done some good for the community that he could also be remembered for.

I volunteer with multiple groups that aid and provide for people in need, donated what I could spare to help victims of various disasters beyond their control. Only a few will ever know that, all the good I've done will be forgotten long before this guy's house.

I don't know what I would do with money like that. I do know I wouldn't build a house around a sailboat. What would you all want to be remembered for?
