Re: Youtube liveaboard stars?

I like many of these channels, though I don't spend a lot of time on them and I can't bring myself to send them money.

Not while I've got boating expenses...

But I do hope to meet them on future adventures - theirs and mine.

Really well done.
+1 Yes I love this Youtube Couple. They really show what it's like to go places and meet the locals. They have no aversion to mixing it up with the local people, landscape or animals. I really feel like I'm learning something from this couple. They have great personalities. They never really porn for cash either.

Check out Sailing Turtle26. They aren’t liveaboards but chronicle their Bahamas winter cruise starting with towing their boat from Oregon to Florida. They are a young couple that persevere through a lot of adversity to achieve their dream.

Re: Youtube liveaboard stars?

A new channel that just started out is 'Sailing Music and Lyrics'. After two episodes it seems off to a good start.

It's hard watching some channels for too long because they seem to just do the same thing over and over again so I like watching new channels with a fresh perspective on things.

I'll check them out. I like really videos with smaller boats instead million dollar cats.

I really like this guy. He is unconventional but his videos are outstanding. Here is his latest, sailing in the Wayag islands.

No eye candy, just a very accomplished sailor who has taken his engineless gaff rig boat down the eastern seaboard to the Caribbean and now to the Keys.

Just watched their “Swimming pigs/pig roast conspiracy” video, and it had me laughing out loud. Great find! Thanks!

I really enjoyed your videos so far! You've done a great job at capturing some spectacular scenery. Also, you have an advantage in that there is more than just a sailing couple- it's often more interesting to see different reactions and story lines among the crew. (instead of one filming while only one is sailing/exploring)

Small (pro) tip- some of your awesome scenes are in need of just a little color correction. DaVinci Resolve is an amazing (although a bit tricky at first) color corrector application that just happens to be free. You could waste a ton of time on it, but normally just a (small) bit of extra saturation is needed for certain cameras, especially on cloudy days. Finally, a polarizing filter is a really cheap trick (either drone or hand-held) to wow viewers in those beautiful sunny waters.

Well done, though. We're watching now...

Delos does it with a loan on the boat. He also did a little remote work for the company he owns.
The Delos owner is a software developer from the Seattle area. That's some pretty high income, certainly enough to afford the 250k$ he'd need for a used Amel Super Maramu.

"...down the eastern seaboard to the Caribbean..."

That's not correct. Kevin Boothby has sailed that little wood boat to the Caribbean NINE times...

...plus completely around the world!
