eBay
for burner

for an Indian stove that I haven't tried
Kerosene Brass Pressure Stove 2412 Kerosene Brass Pressure Stove Model 2412 [2412] - $75.00
for the Butterfly brand stove from Indonesia, the one I use and from the vendor I bought from
So so with the stock non regulating burner. Very nice with the regulated burner. Kerosene or diesel, either one, burns nicely with the regulated burner and as I recall, in the stock burner as well. Yes low sulphur road diesel. Burns clean. You still have to completely close and open the valve a few times, which cleans the jet also. Do this every time you use it for best results. Mine is a few years old and has been used probably a couple hundred times. Actually surprised it held up so long and I sort of expect it to malfunction soon but knock on wood, so far so good.
The burner fits most stoves of this type and yes the Taylor is one of them. It's like the zippo lighter of stoves, copied by everyone, kind of hard to screw up though the original will probably last longer.
I might also point out FWIW that this is a very cheap solution for cooking but if you try to use it with no flue and no draft it could kill you with CO in a closed up boat. Just sayin. And like all open stoves it produces water vapor. But I am thinking that enclosing it and giving it proper draft would work pretty good. A half pint of diesel or kerosene lasts an awfully long time. Puts out WAY more heat than an alcohol stove especially a nonpressurized one.

for an example of a SeaSwing gimbal if you are curious about that. I just bought this one for a spare. Slightly modified my existing one... easy to do.

Re: Wood Stove
Growley,
Im a big fan of kerosene, have a stove and bulkhead heater on each boat. A two burner cooker in our hunting cabin. The new Hanse burners work well for me. Fully interchangeable bits as far as I can tell. Base Camp and Spares Marine for parts. Easy post from UK to USA or Canada. Canada a bit faster.

Yeah these (I have a spare or two!) are Hanse. They turn a marginal stove best suited for backpacking into a nice little boat stove or even a practical home stove for when hurricanes or other mishaps knock out the mains power.
In my experience, if it looks like a 1910 era Primus pump stove, the parts fit others that look like it. Knock on wood. I haven't had a problem so far mixing and matching parts.

thank you for pointing out lack of scale . When I do the install I will take at least one picture with a tape measure in it.
The unit is approx 18 inches long.
I know of guys that have them in semis for several years and they have no issues with these diesel furnaces. Parts are available but at that price its easier to have a spare .
They were designed for trucking industry and adapted for marine usages.
I am sure I will be happy with it and with being rated at .5l of fuel per hour it should be economical to use.

Do you have a product name and manufacturer? Link to a vendor?

here is all I have .
Google 5k diesel heater.
Here is the seller I purchased from
https://www.ebay.com/itm/5KW-12V-Car...53.m2749.l2649
it says the main unit is 39cm long and 13x14 cm square
So a rather compact package

Re: Wood Stove
If you were to go the wood stove route, be sure to buy one that can burn a variety of solid fuels. The Cubic Mini, can't burn wood pellets in it last time I checked.

Re: Wood Stove
Webasto and Espar are known good quality and no way is unbranded Chinese stuff as good.
Planar yes is a knockoff, but at least has a brand image to uphold.
Not saying the unbranded Chinese unit is dangerous, but you're on your own in DIY territory.
If that cheap buy a few so you have parts, and yes, inspect it regularly.

the real funny here is I just went out and opened my no name unit up and googled the info I did find and it is manufactured by catuo which is the same manufacturer of the planar units. Just unbranded so it is cheaper. But I am going to be very cautious due to it likely being a factory seconds unit.
https://www.amazon.com/Diesel-Heater...3JJ91WQXX&th=1
one thing I did notice is it says it can use gasoline or diesel .
I would strongly recommend never using gasoline in any heater of this type unless it is the one built for the original vw beetle
