Underwater cemetery found off the Dry Tortuga’s

I’m not sure this was “ lost.” One of the small islands to the east of Ft. Jefferson has been named Hospital Key since the longest time. Cruising guides have referred to it as a quarantine island.

Article doesn't explain why the key "sank" or why the cemetery is now underwater.

Anyone know?

Article in 07May New York Times mentions rising tides and storms. Archaeologists seem to have found the hospital site too. Kennedy Space Center keeps having to bulldoze barriers to protect it from seawater incursions: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...te-change.html
