Seriously! I'll remember all of this when I'm out and about on the water in the new dink and all the seams just come undone or something like that.
I certainly hope that a sweet deal was had. I've always had older used inflatable dinks and they were always a PITA. I'm hoping this thing gives me several years of mostly trouble free use.

Re: Um..is this for real?
This is what I've got as response from walker bay regarding missing MSO:
Darko,
Well my upper management insist you provide us with at least a notarize legal document which states your Name, Address, Telephone number, and HIN# on that document. Then the is a cost of$45.00.
Fyi that is a liquidation boat and this isn’t any Warranty on it.

Re: Um..is this for real?
Hello everyone. I really liked the dinghy at first but after exchanging some emails with walker bay customer service I am a little scared about quality of this thing. This is my experience with walker bay, after requesting for MSO since it was missing in original package from Amazon.com :

Re: Um..is this for real?
I also jumped on this deal. Received the package yesterday. The box was a mess.
The dinghy looks good though. Issues I've identified so far are: 1) brackets under seat are bent and 2) there are no oar pins to connect oars to oar locks.
I'll let you know what response I get from Walker Bay and/or Amazon.com LLC.

The dinghy itself looks good.
Also need MSO.

Re: Um..is this for real?
Yeah, I had to adjust bracket on my seat as well. Do you plan on registering the boat? I am in Nevada, just took my boat this morning to NDOW, lady over there was super nice and helpful. 50$ til the end of the year, after that 30$ per year. She said title should be coming in the mail. Hopefully there will be no additional bureaucracy issues, fingers crossed.

Re: Um..is this for real?
I had another look at my dinghy bits - seat is unscathed even though my box looked pretty much like yours. The 'pins' bit is a bit of a puzzle - my oars have sleeves on them with pins in them all wrapped up in plastic wrap. Do you not have the same setup ?

Re: Um..is this for real?
I'm so glad there were others that got in on this deal! Mine arrived in a similar packaging condition as yours, with no MSO, so it looks like I'll be contacting Walker Bay soon...or just not registering it. It really is only for transporting me to and from the mother ship, so since I have a documented vessel, no registration needed. I only have a 3.5 horse on it so its not like I could take it very far/fast anyway.
I did the warranty registration though and got a response back that my warranty was valid and in effect from the date I purchased it from Amazon. FWIW.

Re: Um..is this for real?
I bought a Yamaha 6HP, 4-stroke engine (60 lbs.) and gave it a test today.
The boat planes effortlessly with 1 person and makes 13 knots.
The boat JUST planes with 2 adults and a dog (390 lbs) and makes 9.5 knots.
I might try a different propeller with a flatter pitch as the engine was NOT making full RPM with the heavier load.
Test conditions: Wind 15+ knots, some sheltered water, some with 3 miles of fetch, and 1.5 foot white caps everywhere. I prefered to be slowed to 5 knots or so when driving into the chop. On a "reach" or DDW, high speed was fine. Boat stayed dry.
Pretty impressive all around performance for a 62 lb. boat that fits in a bag.

Re: Um..is this for real?
Just so you guys all know, while the tubes are Hypalon, everything else is PVC. Keep it rolled and stored or cover it while not in use.

Re: Um..is this for real?
Thanks for the info, Matt.
I probably would have bought this even if the entire boat was PVC as I'm just a weekend warrior in the cloudy, PNW. Boat rolled up most of the time.
