The Florida Keys are cursed! Everyone who goes there dies! Eventually.

What is that article even trying to be?

Maybe the title should be "The Keys a Dangerous Place for Journalism."

Re: The Keys a dangerous place?.

The Keys are an extremely dangerous place to live or vacation. I recommend all to stop 30 miles to the north in Miami, a much safer area.

Re: The Keys a dangerous place?.

1) Parasailing is dangerous wherever you do it but manifestly safer in the Keys than Mexico

2) Key Largo being the most popular SCUBA diving destination in the USA does get its share of fatalities over the course of five years in what is overall a safe activity

3) Rob Stewart is a separate matter, reading the voluminous court filings is insightful for those who care deeply >pun<. This does not make the Keys dangerous any more than OJ Simpson makes California dangerous

4) Highways have crashes
