Talking The day has come!! :)

Hi Folks,

The day has finally arrived. The house is packed up, what we can't fit on a boat was liquidated for next to nothing, and we are ready to go!

Items that will be going onto the boat, but that can't fit on the plane will be placed in storage during the 1032 +/- NM return trip.

We fly out on Thursday AM to take posession of our new (1987) Gulfstar 45, currently located in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

I'm starting to get pretty damn excited!

So yeah... all the input everyone on here has given helped shape and form this purchase. It also has helped shape and form how we will run and equip the boat.

Basically... this is just a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to questions I have asked along the way. I'll post followups to some of the questions, to add to the knowledge contained on the board.

Thanks everyone... and see you late August, early September... however long it takes to travel 1032 +/- NM and get the internet stuff set up in our new home/boat.

Until then....... fair winds to all.

Hi Sean

Congratulations mate, its always nice to see good people achieve their goals

PS I hope that you got rid of your tie and razor - well I hate to say it - but hell, you look like a computer geek (Aus humour)

Fair winds & dry bunks

If you get to bobbing around Lake MI at all, head SSE to St. Joseph for a visit. We'll make you feel right at home. From there you can head up to Holland to visit Irwinsailor. They'll make you comfortable as well. Hmmmm Computer Geek? well - maybe but they can be kind of handy sometimes

Good luck
