St. Martin - July 8 - 21
Hello to all
Well our timetable for stepping off is moving closer (just under 2 yrs now) and we will be in St. Martin for a friends wedding. We will be enjoying some local flavor and would be interested in meeting and having a drink with others who are living on the hook.
Right now it looks like we will be buying in the Med and staying there a few years before we have to drift back this way for parents, etc. Starting the search for a 44 to 50 mono.
Anyway if somebody wants to have a drink,,,let us know
Ron & Carrie

July get a bit quieter as its hurricane season.
But the 2 places to go for a drink are Lagoonies on the east of the Dutch side Lagoon
and the St Martin Yacht Club on the west side next to the Dutch channel and bridge.

Jumble sales? Nope, not there. No live music anymore.
But yes more cruisers are going in there because happy hour beer price is $1 till 7pm.

79th Street Boat Basin on a mooring. Needs to be under 40 feet and a monohull. Weekly rate is $26 per day.
Anchorage for bigger boats and cats is the same price. Good holding but a fair current.

OK, yea, tried it last time we were there but cats not allowed on moorings and slips nearly all taken up by lifers.

Re: St. Martin - July 8 - 21
I am under 40 feet and would be very happy with a mooring at that price. thanks for the replies. Any other suggestions would be helpful as a back up.
