Size of your TV?

Sounds like it may be like the one I have that is AC powered, but it had an external "brick" that said 12VDC on it, I was worried the the TV would only work on exactly 12VDC and of course we are above that, but I wired it direct a year or so ago and it is fine with 14.3 VDC. Same thing with the Sony Blue Ray player, ran it direct too, TV was only DVD and not Blue Ray, and we have a bunch of Blue Ray DVD's
So sometimes even an AC TV can be run off of DC.
My TV is a Signa or maybe insignia, something like that, I got it at Circuit City I think.

No TV for me haven't had cable in years. That said I do have an hp 24in all in 1 pc that I use to watch netflix or dvd's. It sits on my salon table with a hook mount to keep it from falling over.

No, TV. I use my macbook pro and amazon prime, showtime and others and get all the entertainment I need.

Re: Size of your TV?

It seems that my 40" TV running off the inverter uses about the same amount of power as the main salon light. So since we don't use the main salon light while watching TV, playing card games etc. uses the same power as watching TV.

OTOH I'm starting to get to the point that I don't care how much power I used. I cruising now for enjoyment, power savings be dam.
