Insignia, and I was wrong, it was Best Buy, and I think $200.
I have yet to try running it off my battery bank direct, but will and if it blows, then it blows I guess.

We use ipads if it's just the kids or one of us watching a movie individually. If we have guests or want something everyone can see well we use a pico projector for movie night (it's too old to get now but it give you an idea). We have a cloth movie screen we hang in the settee area and the projected image is about 6 ft across. The lumens isn't that great, so we can only use it at night.

I installed a 22 inch Samsung 5000 series. I really hate to see a tv on a boat so I built a lift behind my starboard settee . I use a small compressor and a pneumatic ram on a track to make it work. And i don't have to worry about it flying around when sailing , it is very secure . Viewing distance is as you see it in the video

32" viewing from about 10-15 feet. I wish I had gone smaller, most of what we watch doesn't demand anything "large screen". We have no live TV, just Netflix.

We use our 15" MacBook Pro (Retina display) for the two of us. Great resolution, and paired with some blue tooth speakers, we have poor persons surround sound... Viewing distance is salon table to seat, maybe 2-3ft average.

There is no broadcast TV where we currently cruise, and the marinas are for working boats. (no cable TV or WiFi)

Our boat came with a UFO TV antenna mounted on a mizzen spreader, and a 'Follow Me TV' tracking device for a home dish antenna. We are too far north for that to work, so we just stream or download (using 4G cell data- no WiFi around either...)

We are all dressed up with no where to go...

Don't watch TV... do movies from netflix etc... use a 27" pc monitor. I may make a mount for it, but we set on the galley and view from about 2.5 meters max. I usually fall asleep.

21" widescreen TV with HDMI port for DVD/Blueray. We have a 1985 Catalina 30 mk I and it has a door over each settee which is just the right size for this TV. Distance from the other settee is about 2/2.5 meters. Ran a cable to the cockpit so I can attach an HDTV antenna. (Cheap one from Home Depot works better than $100+ one from electronics store...) I modified a 12v outlet for the connection. I put the antenna on my telescoping boat hook and lash it to the rear stay when in use.

Samsung 40" smart LED TV. 8' to 12' viewing distance depending on where one sits in the salon.

No TV on board. Didn't have one ashore for last 15 years either. We do watch movies on a laptop computer. It has the advantage that we have to sit close to each other when we watch.
