Hahaha!
All is fine in good old Rotterdam - temperature's gone up again.
Mother nature is seriously confused this year
Don't even need to heat the boat - yay me!
Tho ... Florida should be a whole lot less gloomy - it's warm, but nothing but rain and a lot of wind

Hmmmm ... I'm so in the wrong part of the world, haha!
No wonder I'm single - 29' boat and no sunshine
(^ See, moderators, still somewhat on-topic, even if I'm a single woman, not man )
For tomorrow the report is promising us mostly cloudy but ... 15°C (mid december! Very early spring ...) and ... wait for it ... no rain and only a very nice 4Bft wind!

Yes.. You should start now... You could be here hmmm... In a few hours no? Bathing suit and sunglasses is all you have to carry so trip speed will double.. Leave all hats, gloves, blankets, heaters on the dock... Lol

Re: Single Men Living Aboard and Cruising... an honest look.
I'm reminded of my circumnavigating buddy who met this attractive and willing gal in a Panama bar while waiting to transit. They got on well and she acknowledged she was looking for a westward berth. She wanted to check out his boat of course, so off they went to the dock where there was an impressive Swan tied up. As they walked by it, she said, "isn't this your boat?" "No, mine's the Pearson Vanguard over there." Without another word, she turned and left.
Later, in Papeete, he met a Dutch gal who did sail with him for awhile. "Dutch gals are easy," he said.

Do you have enough headroom on a Vanguard front double berth for a happy lady to sit on a happy sailor without having to open the front hatch ? Also, on a Swan 43 you can have some privacy, on a 1963 33' almost none I'm sure Philip Rhodes didn't design his baby as a pick up gimmick for old fart ! By the way, one of the most beautiful young lady-sailor I've seen in my whole life (I'm 69) arrived in the Marquesas from Panama, sailing with her boyfriend, on a 30' converted liner rescue boat. They had decked it, had put on a keel & a telephone post as a mast with galvanized standing rigging "à la Moitessier"; the "sailboat" had its original one cylinder Volvo & they had sailed it from France & were on their way to Tahiti where the mixblood lady was from (Probably half Chinese, half Tahitian, I think)...

If you liked it, here's another true story about gorgeous looking sailor ladies: I anchored some time in Cook's bay (Moorea) on my Nicholson 31 with my young wife & cat who wasn't neutered yet. By chance, the sailor anchored nex door, on a home made trimaran from San Diego, was a vet. He offered to fix our problem for free. Everything went A1. But not only he was a good vet, but also a friendly one legged Scot (I think, he had lost his leg under a streetcar in Edinburgh when he was young) who played the bagpipes: Every day, when the sun was setting, he would walk up front his trimaran & played the bagpipe 'till the sun had finally disappeared under the lukewarm water of the Pacific Ocean! I still have goosebumps when I recall those lovely evenings... All this to say that he also, had one of the 5 most beautiful ladies I came across in my life, half Asian, half God knows what I told that story somewhere else on Cruisers Forum, but I think it's worth saying it again. You don't need to be very rich to be happy, just be a nice guy & you're bound to cross the path of one friendly lady, be it in an anchorage, a marina, internet or... ???
