I actually thought his boat came up in another thread with a testy exchange with the naval architect whose plans it may have been based on. Can't testify it's his, but the boat in question appeared to be a large power cat named Venus. Of course can't find the thread or the NA's website post about it now.

Only references online now seem to be it dragging its mooring in Green cove springs into a dock and some boats in late 2016.

And Kurt's claim that he's never seen the boat - I believe there was a thread on his blog with the owner getting somewhat angry at him, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Maybe it was taken down - I do not know.

Don't know if it's the same fellow - but with the boat for sale, maybe it indicates that RVing is a better way to meet young sex bunnies, even if you do have a bitchin' yellow power cat.

My advice is free so may not be what you hope to hear or be any good.
First, I am 74 years old.
Stop looking for a cruising companion. Keep an open mind and be 'ready' just in case.
Get a smaller boat, one you can handle by yourself, cruise if you wish, remain at the dock or anchored out if you wish.
I think you will meet a better woman, if that is to be, in and around a marina than in a camp ground.
Most women's idea of boating is day trips while lying on the deck pretending to be the queen. They are not interested in line handling, cooking, or cleaning up after your paying guests.
I have lived on submarines, in logging camps and camp grounds, houses, apartments and condos. Now, I spend 10 months of the year on my boat. Which is best? For me, it is the boat. Neighbors upset me, I can untie and move without a hassle. Try that with a house or condo. Yes, I still own a condo. I would sell it but, I fear packing everything up LOL I will let 'my survivors' sort though my 'treasures.'
I have owned 2 boats. One a 46ft Nordhavn which fell off the jacks in a boat yard... constructive loss. This boat is documented as a 34ft American Tug. Today, the same boat is documented as 36ft. Seems 'someone' decided to add in the swim platform.
When I bought this boat, it was, that famous phrase to all boaters, "almost perfect." Yea right. Is a boat ever finished? I have two projects remaining. I keep joking, "I'm putting a lot of perfume on the pig.", or "What I do now is for the next owner." The only thing I am not changing are the electronics. They are only 10 years old. If the next owner want to upgrade, I will leave that for him to do.
For those who are looking for a boat, check back annually. This one will be 'almost perfect.' LOL

RENT a camper or trailer and see if she will be content, before you marry her.
Remember, what a person says before marriage has nothing to do with how they will respond after marriage.

This reminds me of my life. When I was young, I ran off to San Francisco. I found a campground in Daly City and camped there in my Van. It was nice there were showers and power and the rent was about $200 month. (those were the days .

I met a woman who was happy to spend time with me in the Van. I didn't have a boat yet, so although we had a good time together, when she met a fellow with a boat, she went with him and left me. I hope they continued on together and went sailing to tropical places.

The astonishing woman I met online 3 yrs ago had never been on a boat. She had a conventional office job, raised two kids in suburbia and didn't even know people could live on boats in Ontario and was intrigued by a man who had lived aboard for 23 years. Right now she is in the head cutting some new shelving.
When I work on the engine she pushes me out of the way saying. "I have to learn, show me", She has handled the boat through somewhere around 100 locks, she does amazing glass work, changes impellers, scrapes and paints bottoms and has a smile that melts my heart 50 times a day. You can see her at work on "Our New Boat"
I am truly the luckiest man on the planet. Keep searching and never compromise.
