Sure I believe in love at first sight, that's why I've been divorced 3 times.
Oh wait ya, as it turned out maybe it was something else. LOL. What I have found is that love is about respect, trust, friendship, the deeper **** no one including me took the time for. lol. I have fallen in love once, it was not at first sight but nearly so. We did not stay together but have remained very best friends for nearly 11 years. It's funny because we did/do love each other but both knew we did not belong together, we didn't really breakup, we just modified the relationship and moved on. These days I'm holding out for something a little less dramatic and immature, a little more realistic.

I knew I was asking the right crowd to get a solid answer.
Thank for all truth.
I feel that Love is in the air but maybe not at first sight. It could happen but maybe complicate the hell out of your life.

Good Job!
The key word is sincere.
Feels like kind of a wild card sometimes.

That is my feeling also.
Just surprised on the stuff I hear, shocking to me. Road trip has resulted two offers of snuggles with complete strangers, what is your name? One statement of Love at first sight WTF? Im not sure what I want for breakfast, really?

High divorce rate suggests it isn't love we experienced.

I can't believe that.
People (hopefully) are constantly evolving - we're here to have experiences, to grow and to learn, (among other things). Just because two people evolve in different ways or grow in different, irreconcilable directions, doesn't mean that there was never love.

About half of all marriages end in divorce, the rest end in death.
As for love at first sight; not buying it. Sometimes you see someone that has features you like, and the proper pheromones to attract, but it takes years to fall in love. First she has to stop listening to pop music.....

Re: Single Men Living Aboard and Cruising... an honest look.
If you only ask the question about love at first sight to single men, then you are auto-selecting only the ones where it obviously did not work out long term. I believe love at first site and have experienced it. It hasn't always worked out but it sure was fun, so long as it was reciprocal.
However, the love of my life right now was not love at first site although I was very attracted to her when I was married to my first wife. She was cute, funny, and friendly. But I was taken and then I moved on from the company we both worked at. I got divorced a year later and never saw her for several years.
But when I saw her again I asked her out within the first hour. We have been together over 25 years now, and she loves cruising as much as I do. We have our ups and downs but cruising was good for both of us individually and as a couple.
Years before another love at first sight led to a serious love affair and even a planned wedding. It turned out we really weren't right for each other and split up. I was crushed but it was for the best. We sure had some great times in between though.
There isn't a rule for this. It just happens. It can lead to a long, happy, productive relationship, or it can turn to crap, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. But love at first sight sure is thrilling!

Re: Single Men Living Aboard and Cruising... an honest look.
With hindsight I can remember love at first sight, but without second sight I soon lost sight.

Agreed.... on the years and the pop music.
Lately I've added political affiliation to my screening tools - for obvious reasons
