Re: Sexiest interior fixtures?

xymotic, the lights really do look terrific. Do you have the product number? I couldn't find them on the West Marine site?

I wouldn't be so sure, given his outfit. I think his chain may be used to a different sort of windlass....

Is it one originally made for the navy?
Any photos?
not navy...no bells.....this is to replace my father's USN retirement clock that "disappeared" after he died. It had been on his boat and I was hoping it was going to be on mine.

i love brass and bronze in my boring interior--would love to find the original fixtures for formosas and refit using those--they beat these new fangled not as pretty thingies....
Only teak in my cabin is recycled frames from an old whale boat, used as frame for coffee table, misc small counter surfaces, steps and companion way steps (still has square copper nails showing, teak is deep dark chocolaty brown).
woods used in my cabin are teak, misc mahoganies (4or5 varieties), cherry, cumaru, birch, apitung, maiden's gum, tiger wood (two varieties), silver bali, sapeli, dark red Malaysian maranti, iron bark, white oak, red mangaris, port ortford cedar, plus things I can't identify and/or don't remember.....may sound a bit busy, but it's not.

Yeah, well my boat's gonna be immersed in blue. Might make for some interesting evenings

Maybe It's a new idea for the making money while cruising thread.

I would think a floating brothel would fall under the category of sexiest fixture
