Howdy,
I've used Semco Natural a fair bit at
work - we manage 25 syndicate boats and treat our decks 3 times a year with the sealer. It seems to be a fair bit more expensive here (Sydney, Aus) than other products, you can pick it up for $250 retail or $180 AUD a gallon if you are in the know..... I quite like the look although it is quite a strong orangey-tan colour, not the sun washed teak you'd expect by 'natural'. We have tried between 1-10 coats on (2-3 recommended after teak cleaner and brighener) and if you don't add enough coats like anything it will only last a month or two with the UV damage. Too many and the teak can still degrade and leave semco remnants in patches down the track (6 months) which is really tough to get out of the grain. It's quite thin so you need to stir the can well and apply with a foam brush and watch out for spillage, it will stick like anything to
gelcoat gone unchecked. In saying that it looks really good if done properly and does a great job at protecting the teak if you can get over the
price
Cheers,
Ryan
