San Diego Moorings Liveaboards

Hello all. I've been on the wait list for a mooring in San Diego's America's Cup Harbor, for 3 years. When I initially applied, liveaboards were completely allowed, and that's why I applied for the mooring there. San Diego Mooring Company's website says that liveaboard IS allowed. Now, I get an email from their office saying that liveaboard is NOT allowed. Anyone out there happen to know what the truth is? Is liveaboarding a don't ask/don't tell thing now? Can't imagine how SDMC could enforce a non-liveaboard policy anyway. Somebody out there, please help me to clarify this strange situation.

Why would it be hard to enforce?

I bet their contract lets them kick you out at will, and with a 3-year waitlist. . .

Re: San Diego Moorings Liveaboards

ac harbor aka commercial basin is overrated.
hated that place. waaay too crowded.
coronado was nicer, prettier and cooler neighbors.
i believe there always has been a no liveaboard clause for moorings but no one pays attention, nor was it enforced. may have changed, but no one has told me that. yes i still have friends there.
good luck.

and yes their contract allows for eviction for failure to comply. i was being threatened with eviction when i left for having 2 moored boats so i removed one to elsewhere. am still elsewhere. the management and i worked together to make it not an eviction situation. they are good folks. may want to ask which mooring field is best for your needs and living aboard. talk with vanessa.
