Propane in the Eastern Caribbean

I'm sure the answer is here many times over but putting the word propane into the search gets you a flood of results and after wading through pages and pages of search results I gave up.

We are a US boat headed to the Eastern Caribbean and simply wondering if we will need to carry an adaptor (or adaptors) to get propane bottles refilled.

Re: Propane in the Eastern Caribbean

You've asked about a region that contains many countries and extends over a thousand miles...

I've gotten propane refills in: USVI, BVI, St. Martin, Sint Maarten, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Dominica, and St. Lucia.

Remember that the burners on stoves need to be changed or adjusted between butane (Camping-Gaz) and propane.

Re: Propane in the Eastern Caribbean

The only islands we didn’t easily find propane were the French like Martinique where butane is the standard fuel. Everyplace else uses propane with fittings that match USA standard tanks. Pretty much a non-issue.

Re: Propane in the Eastern Caribbean

Thanks,

We carry two tanks and can go for a couple months on a tank so sounds like a non-issue for us.
