Mike speaks for me, in this case. Be well, be safe enough.

You in Albany?
They caught the driver pretty quickly, haven’t even arraigned him yet, and I don’t know if they will do anything.
I’ve come to grips that whatever they do or don’t do to him is irrelevant, it’s not going to change anything.
If your near Albany, then you know how it is there.
No, in Gainesville FL, cave country but Albany isn't that far. Used to drive through there several times a year going to see family in Columbus and have a nephew that married an Albany girl.

I agree that whatever happens to the driver won't change your situation but maybe help prevent future events. Was it a DUI?

No, my working theory is he was / is a drug dealer, it was a rented car, his girlfriend rented it not him, he of course had a suspended license for child support.
He abandoned the car, she called it in as stolen later.
I could say more but this isn’t the time nor the place.
Anyway apparently you rent a car to sell your drugs out of, so the cops getting a description of the car does no good.

Hurricane has passed through Fl of course, and the remnants of the eye are about to go through Albany, kid said power is out, but other than that I doubt Albany will get any serious damage, unless there are tornados.

Another advantage, if drugs are found in the car he doesn't get his car confiscated.

Heard from my cousins who are around Destin and they still have power. East of PC got hit hard. Tornado warnings in central FL but probably only a danger in the coastal areas.
