Planing Sail to Brazil

I do not care about time just be safe for my first sailing all the way from houston down to Brazil if any one interested in be a partner on this one you are welcome we can split 50/50

Hunters are build mostly for coastal cruising. You take that mass production boat and start bashing it against the wind and current, either one of you would give up very quickly. You'll be OK with it to sail in prevailing trade winds, but taking it from Texas to Brazil no matter which way you'll go will be very risky

If you check the important stuff on the boat (rudder, rigging, sails, engine etc.) it should be up to the trip, providing you don't push it too hard (like you would going to windward and against current in your planned route). Take the offshore route and enjoy the sailing. It'll be a lot safer (you won't have to deal with all the crunchy bits along the coast). If you don't think you have enough experience, try to get someone with experience to join you for the trip.

Just curious... What are you going to do with the boat in Brazil after you arrive? Have you checked the regulations concerning how long the boat can stay in Brazil?

The 100% duty is only if you want to import into Brazil, but the actual costs is much higher due to all the paperwork, surveys, measurements and documents you need.

This can easily be done - on a trawler with a big fuel tank. On a sailboat, it will be very hard on your teeth.

I hope you have your time expectations correct - you'll need to allow 3-6 months for this trip. The sail from the Canaries to Natal took me 31 days on a 26 LWL (30 footer), on yours 27 LWL it will be the same or a bit faster - plan on sailing 100 miles per day average.

If you don't care about the time, leave in December for the Bahamas, then optional to Bermuda in May and cross over to the Cape Verdes. This is the safe route for a sailboat and I'll bet its quicker that the one you proposed hugging the coast.

I have brother in Brazil work for the government he can help me to keep the boat in there but after get to Brazil my next one will be down to Argentina then to the Pacific all the way to Australia and part of Asia then back to the Pacific then back to Brazil I think

I have two option first will be Hunter 33' with 40hp diesel engine second option will be a 1988 Beneteau Moorings 432 43ft with 50hp

The forum has unanimously told you the route you need to take if you want to do this trip. That in forum terms is quite unusual. I suggest you take this advice given in this thread, or stop the nonsense and stick to coastal sailing around the Gulf.

I still keeping looking for the best rout to take if anyone in here have advice for me i will be appreciated i'm not expert in sealing, but i have courage and skill for surviving in any conditions Land Ocean and in the Air i'm not a Supermen but i can travel anywhere in the world.
I decide to spend the rest of my lifetime in ocean i have a 1981 33' Hunter and I'm looking on the 43' 1988 Beneteau Moorings 432 need complete Refit i'm still decide witch one i get do the trip safe and security

I think you've been given the route advice you need. Go and read the James Baldwin 3-part article on his trip to Brazil from the US. It's basically the best route.

Not to sound too harsh, but if you have to ask about the route, are you sure you have enough experience for this trip? It's a long way to Brazil...

Numa boa, não vai ser fácil legalizar seu barco no Brasil quando você chegar, mesmo com seu irmão no governo. Isso involve a marinha e também a Receita Federal. Fora isso, é ilegal.
