orientation tour in Toronto-area Marinas..

..I'm seriously considering switching to live-a-board lifestyle and would greatly appreciate if someone from the community could kindly give me an 'orientation tour' in the marina(s) they live in.
Anywhere from Bluffers to Port credit.
Thanks
p.s.on a different boat I presently have, will buy within 33-40' range

There are very few marinas that allow winter Liveaboard's, not to mention it's very tough in the winter since they tore down "the sisters", which provided warm water outflows

Kazo, I’m not sure how many marinas in the GTA still allow year round liveaboards. Port Credit and Pickering were the last ones i was aware of. Why not place some phone calls and then tour the facilities that do. I’m sure any liveaaboards there would be happy to answer your questions.

As mentioned, you don't have too many options for year-round liveaboard around Toronto, and it's not a trivial undertaking, with low temperatures and ice to contend with.

Best bet is to call around. There's sort of a live-aboard/"floating house" community on the Toronto Islands. I know that some clubs allow a few liveaboards, but you have to be a member and there's usually a waiting list for slips. I don't know of any marinas that allow it.

Good luck.
