I like the Columbia 40', the green sink will ensure the bathroom is free most of the time.

Now if the hull, sails and rigging are good...

You're in!

Thinking of you, Bergovoy...
Although "about" 28 feet might be a tad on the small side for a liveaboard.
Sail Boat Ericson YA
Nice price though.

and thanks for thinkin of me.

I will be on the road on Feb 22 afternoon... I am excited and bummed.. rality is definatly setting in...

I am so torn and my life is really on auto pilot..

I still have a destination and i do question it all the time, but without it, i woudl be floundering...

I will be dringing east and south... going thru texas thru Houson onto Galveson to look at boats on this side of the gulf... then driving aaround the gulf and looking up things whenever i stop to eat, and surf to llok for boats in whatever area i am in..

I am totallyscared.. and really would love some companionship.. anyone want to ride share across the countrr???

Those Columbias from the 70's don't sail too well. If you buy one you have to be OK with something that is more floating condo than yacht. Maybe that's exactly what you want.

Feb. 22 is right around the corner. "Life is an adventure or it is nothing at all"- said by a deaf, blind woman. Not sure if this statement came out of her challenging condition or meant for the general populace....
Take frequent breaks when driving long distances and get well rested before starting out each day. Much nicer if you can share the experience and driving with someone else.
If this just turns out to be an extended vacation, that will also be fine. Get it out of your system and go for it! Pray to the patron saint of used sailboats and you may find your dream boat at the end of a rainbow...or however that works.
Good luck and have a great time!
