are you getting a survey? what was your offer, you can pm me if you want... i would like to know how flexible folks are with thier asking price...

and did you get more info and pics and all that... what questions did you ask, im kinda bummed that you are moving forward and i'm not... but, i cant do much more then i already am, at least i dont think so anyways...

That one was a no go.I asked,if they kept it in a marina of their choice,if i could pay for it over 6 months.I thought maybe with the way the economy is now,they might just jump at the chance to sell it.She said she wanted to sell it outright but she would think about it also.I have seen people sell them like that.

Have you guys thought about the Cal series ? Through the 1970's they made a pretty good range of small, simple racer/cruisers. At least when you buy a Cal you know it has been well built and probably well maintained. One of the 27, 29 or 31 should suit. For 10 - 15k or so you get a clean, functioning ready to sail boat. The boats you guys have been looking at all need a pile of work. You will find yourselves spending 10k fixing the broken stuff to make the boat 5k better. Not smart.

Take a look at these. One is even single owner.

I got your PM.I might do what you said and move closer to the gulf.More options that way.Every day I search I see more boats up for sale.It's just a matter of finding the right one like ZEE did,they are out there too.

I don't mind buying one that needs a little work.I can do just about everything required to maintain one.Here is one,a little small though. 1971 Columbia 26 MkII sailboat for sale in Maryland
