Don't care. Slip F18 is still there and the Busted Flush is still in it, just a couple of slips down from the Keynes or the Veblen, depending on when you care to visit. With apologies to Vincent Starrett and Sherlock Holmes:

I have a condo in Highland Beach which is between Boca Raton and Del Ray. I keep the boat in Ft Lauderdale during the season. I have a 58' Hatteras Cockpit MY. (Yachtfish)

I would spend January and maybe February in Miami because it is a little warmer.
the two marinas I have used are Miami Beach Marina (about $4,000 a month) and Sunset Harbour Yacht Club (305-398-6800)

Ft Lauderdale in February Bahia Mar Yachting Center & Hall of Fame Marina. Both are expensive and a block from the Beach. There are others with not as good a location like Pier 66 Hotel & Marina.

March move up to West Palm Beach at Palm Harbor Marina. You can keep moving north in April and May. June, I would look to go over the the Bahamas for June & July.

Went to Bahia Mar for 3 days not long ago. Transient slips for a 42 cat are $250 a night..

I would also look at Lighthouse Point and Lighthouse Point Yacht Club.

One additional thought. You're wanting to sample a lot of the state. You might look at joining a Florida Yacht Club with a wide range of reciprocal agreements. Or, prior to selling to Suntex, Loggerhead allowed you to lease at one of their marinas but stay at their others. You might talk to Suntex to see what kind of deals they offer on using their various marinas. That way you could get out of transient pricing.

Bahia Mar was mentioned and is hard to beat.

In West Palm, all the Port Cove marinas are good. In Miami, Miami Beach Marina is great and convenient to South Beach. Miamarina is convenient to Bayside.

I would map out initial plans to include the Florida loop then then take you up the East Coast. Don't forget the water suburbs of South Florida, known as the Bahamas. Just enjoy life in Paradise.

I have a Power Cruiser sail guys refer too my type of boat going too
THE DARK SIDE . ( hopefully selling soon so I get a nice sail for the journey )

Palm Beach south marinas are expensive . My buddy lives NY has condo Lauderdale area, Considered sailing south leaving his boat Lauderdale , saying most are asking $ 1100. UP

I can only inform you about marinas I know of hoping it helps
If you want too venture a bit north of Palm beaches pricing is cheaper
Cape Canaveral were I keep my boat .
Cape marina & Harbor town , ( live a board )
Ocean Yacht - mostly sail boaters very nice private club
Cape Canaveral a major port with cruise lines, charter fishing
restaurants , walking distance . Harbor town is Merritt Island short distance from Cape Canaveral

FT Pierce- Harbor town Marina live a board , I stayed there few nights very nice with amenities , near inlet .
VERO BEACH , south of Ft Pierce

Regatta Point - Palmetto Fl , west coast south of Tampa , live a board

I have checked out Regatta Point very nice and was considering leaving my boat there but my cruiser has IO and cant leave in water long term and they are wet slip but they are mostly live a board
Could be a good starting point while searching for marina / condo Tampa


Most that I have checked are around $ 11 - 13 a foot plus electric
Further south pricing jumps , all depends on your wallet, life style

Sounds like there are a lot of options...we plan to start in Fort Lauderdale after the boat arrives and cruise over to the Bahamas. Looking forward to the adventure.

I am on the west coast in Palmetto, Fl. Check out Riviera Dunes Marina. Condos right at Marina. But big problem is our marina is at 93% capacity. We've been here 7 years and love the marina and the Gulf side. It might be tough getting a slip but it's worth a look and try.

I have looked at them online...looks like a good possibility. I imagine we will most likely stay at each one during our cruising adventure. We plan on exploring on the east coast side as far north as Vero Beach and on the west coast side as far north as Tampa...should be lots of fun.
