Multi-Purpose items and Inventive Stowage Ideas

I have stripped the interior of my boat practically bare while doing a major refit. While it is in this state and before I replace lockers, doors and such, I got to thinking about best time to fit in inventive stowage and organizational ideas to maximize all available space in lockers while still having easy access to needed areas for inspections and maintenance. Also what items have liveaboard's found or created and are best suited for multi-purpose use, lessening gadgets with single purpose use needed onboard?

At just less than 35', I have less space than desired once considering repair kits, tools and back up parts for systems on board, but it is what it is and will work diligently to make best use of it as it becomes home after refit. So any suggestions are welcomed.

Re: Multi-Purpose items and Inventive Stowage Ideas

I like to use Kracken Rum bottles for storage of dry goods. I have two for coffee, two for rice and so on. They look super cool, the bottles are tough, they have nice airtight screw on lids and the bottle has nice handles on the side that makes securing them with bungy cords stupid easy. Oh, and it looks totally cool!
I'll put up a picture when I get off work.
