Moving aboard Jan 5th

My husband and I will close on out 36 Ta Shing Tashiba on Jan 5th and I am going down to bring it home. I will spend about a week getting to know our new home. I am so excited to start living our dream

dearmstr, are you moving the boat from Fort Lauderdale to Savannah?
I am personally not a fan of the canoe stern style, But if the listing photos are any indication she appears to be in excellent condition.

That is her. And she looks just like her photos. And the survey came back good.

Re: Moving aboard Jan 5th

dearmstr, here is an Alibi listing from early last year. It appears that the teak decks have been removed which I would consider a bonus.
Enjoy your trip home.

No - less teak = GREAT.

Looking at the 2 links, one can rate the brokers!

Selling broker should be commended on insisting on a pristine presentation.

The 2013 broker should be avoided... IMO of course.

Re: Moving aboard Jan 5th

I looked at the listing photos, a proper yacht. As opposed to Out of Control, I like a canoe stern for off shore. However for live aboard your "back Porch" is short on foot room. Being a wise ass. Best of luck, I hope she gives you years of pleasure.

Great boat! Have fun. Canoe or not? .. Doesn't mean a hill of beans unless it's your boat...

Yes the cockpit has little leg room, but for offshore it is perfect. My husband retires in four years and we plan to head south and keep on going

I hope you realize that was just in jest about the porch and leg room. Again a right proper yacht. The Perry canoe stern will be worth a mil. in a following sea.
