Oh, and so you won't be surprised, "peas" are brown, not green.

Re: Month 6 Expenses & Costs of Cruising
In your previous threads it seems you've put each month's entire "boat maintenance and repairs" costs into the singular month. I would be interested to see those costs amortized over the months they were effective, along with some other items in your list. Do you plan to do anything like that when you have more data/time recorded?

Forget beer and wine until further south. Just drink Ricardo rum. It is a little rough for the first glass only.
Thanks for posting the data!

Beer in a bar in Key West ranges from $3.75 to $4.50. (non Happy Hour prices)
That's $90.00 to $108.00 per 24 bottles.

Dough in the crab, salt beef. Those you usually won't find in the restaurants though, got to go to a festival.

The moment they drag me off the boat and put me in a nursing home I am gunna save like hell.
Try floating through a French island and not eating in a restaurant...

Re: Month 6 Expenses & Costs of Cruising
3 months in the southern caribbean and averaging about $3000US per month
aside from on Martinique - wine (cheapest chilesan) cost 25/30 ECD per bottle (USD10). Beer is running anywhere from 1USD to 2USD per can in a supermarket.
Lettuces cost bout USD5-6 per head for a miserable head. Gin is $20+USD when you can get it.
Stock up on everything you can on Martinique.
Water cost about 25cents US per liter (a buck a gallon) so a spectra 200 as we have pays for itself pretty quickly

Thanks for the post!
We are heading back to the Bahamas this summer with friends. Your breakdown confirms my plan to stock well in Florida, particularly the liquids!

Most of these islands down here have no indigenous water - all water is either collected rainfall or in some cases desalinated or shipped in from larger islands with indigenous water

I know, but you can purchase and operate a desalination unit and make a very good profit at $1 a gl. I'd suspect actual cost of "making" water on a decently large scale or be 1/10 or less than that?
