Re: Month 30 Expenses of Cruising and Living on the Boat

Once again thank you SailorBoy, and to CTHoops! I may not comment very often, but I always read posts about expenditures while cruising. It is very helpful as we put together our plans. As we recently attended another funeral, with two more coming up, we are trying expedite things at this point. Life is short, gotta get out there!

Well, I, for one, appreciate the time and effort that goes into all this expense keeping and other banter (for lack of a better word). It does take time and energy and paperwork and I'd like to thank you SB1 for your part in keeping us up-to-date with the costs, etc of cruising around . . . now to find out how to get my Admiral interested . . . . now THAT would be a posting encompassing more than a few pages!

My Admiral (FOUR STARS) is, actually, a GENERAL, and already stated "NOT INTERESTED...for NOW and NEVER!!!!".

But she also wants to travel abroad.

So I think I still have some leverage, !!!!

And, yes, that would be a hell of an interesting topic!!!!!

Thatís the begainning of most classic stories of the the guy who spent years and lots of $$$$$ getting ready to cruise only to have it end in 2 months starts.

Boom!

That's the sound of your hopes of being on budget this month makes when the seam on your dinghy blows apart.

Had to get what the local west marine had. And it took a minor threat of a negative review for them to allow one of the employees to use his truck to bring it the 1/4 mile from the store to the water.

Re: Month 30 Expenses of Cruising and Living on the Boat

Just be glad your where you can either get another dinghy, get this one warrantied etc.
Yours is beside another one of the same brand?
I have three to me very expensive fenders that I used once and they now leak, Iím still in the Bahamas and wonít likely return to a West Marine store until Iím sure they are out of warranty.
