Re: Month 22 Expenses of Cruising and Living on the Boat
I Find it interesting that as time goes by, your spending is decreasing.
Is it less boat maintenance and toys or is it less eating out or what is it?
I assume the Vacation mode is wearing off and it's now more of a way of life, so that "fun" spending is down?

Re: Month 22 Expenses of Cruising and Living on the Boat
I just looked at the overall spreadsheet. The biggest reductions the past 3 months have been in boat related costs (maintenance, repairs, and upgrades). Overall the biggest $3k/mo budget busters have been: boat, medical, gifts then to a lessor amount marina
The last 3 months avg to about what the first month was. Attached is the spreadsheet in PDF (maybe)

BTW - we still are all about the "fun" things. Its just that it might take weeks of travel to get to the planned "fun"

Thanks for continuing to post. It's very helpful in planning our own budget. Two years, seven months, and sixteen days and we'll be in your wake. ...not in a creepy, stalking kind of way.

Haven’t been off the boat in3 days. By the time we get anchored tomorrow it will be late so it will be 4 days. So the next day there’s 5 days of budget to go to town with.

Re: Month 22 Expenses of Cruising and Living on the Boat
Thank you I am starting my own cruise this weekend and looking at your monthly maintenance and other budget details gives me a realistic idea of what to expect instead of the oft used cliche of "always working on the boat" or "a hole in the water you throw money into" I appreciate you being so candid with your financial details.

Well due to weather considerations we stayed in here in Hadley Harbor on a free mooring and where there isn't a place to go ashore and spend money.
So one more day added to the "go ashore"money!
Plus there's good internet here

Same as others I appreciate you posting your expenses. While spending is very personal and varies greatly, real world examples are helpful. Thanks very much.
