Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

Rescue teams call cotton “the death cloth”. Takes forever to dry and causes all kinds of problems close to the skin. Cotton is great for lounging and sleeping but that’s it. Look on Amazon for dry wicking underwear. I do business travel with 2 pairs of Exofficio underwear. I wash a pair in the sink at night and most of the time it is dry enough to wear the next morning. Going commando is best when you are alone but problematic when around polite society. Just ask Joshua Slocumb.

Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

Better without them but if you must, try some boxers with this fabric

Modal fabric is extremely hard-wearing and keeps its shape and finish, even after frequent washing. ... Unlike garments made from synthetic fibers like nylon and polyester, Modal underwear does not trap perspiration and odors. Modal is up to 50 percent more absorbent than cotton, so clothes never feel sweaty and sticky.

MeUndies Boxers are the ultimate undies for when you want to feel naked, but not actually be naked. Made with our signature soft fabric, their feel*-good fit won’t bunch up your boys or your bum.

Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

I love the adidas quick dry boxer briefs. They do come in cotton and quick dry so make sure you get the quick dry. I spent $100 on these and threw out all the old underwear and couldn’t be happier.

Ok, I don't know if this has been asked before.

So what is the best underwear to buy as a live aboard in the Tropics 30-33°C

My 100% cotton M&S boxer shorts are wringing wet by the end of the day and bunched up in really uncomfortably places.

The tight briefs don't bunch but they do cut in after a day in the engineroom.

Is there a more flexible material and style perhaps sportier design that keeps everything in its place!

Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

If you tend to rash.. aka crotch rot.
Rubbing alcohol on the privates once in the morning and at night. Best thing ever! And very cheap.
The higher percent alcohol the better. In short supply? High test liquor also works, just not as well. Just wipe down, don't wash. Kills bacteria and that's the problem.

Don't do this if you have a bad rash unless you like pain!
Heal the rash with Toflnate cream.. then use alcohol twice daily if you tend to rash... cheap at $2.00/tube.

Been using this solution for years in high heat, high humidity when wearing heavy protective clothes on the job. You know... when you can wring out your clothes at the end of the day! Soap and water can kill bacteria with effort, but rubbing alcohol kills it with a wipe, and no water required. Use that for coffee!

Does a .45 ACP count as 'physical protection'?

Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

This just isn’t about what underroos you wear. You need to dry off appropriately with tissue after a shower, and then spray the boys with men’s gold bond medicated spray, or even deodorant. As to underwear, the ones runners wear for jogging work well.

Not against ropes, abrasive surfaces, corners, etc. Besides, sunburn / rope burn on your privates might not be a good idea..

For firepower, better sell that pea shooter, and buy a 12 gauge with rifled deer barrel, loaded with .62 gauge sabot slugs and buckshot. Many Sabot slugs have 3000+ ft lbs of energy at the barrel and are good for 1-200 yards.
