Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

I use hikers underwear. Dries fast. In the USA I find a good selection at REI.

Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

The most comfortable underwear shorts I have found so far.

Made from wicking and very quick dry “performance” polyester fabric.
Suitable for wear on a boat, or under board shorts, etc.
My preference for boat wear and now for daily wear. Very comfortable.
Feels like a “second skin” when worn. Very comfortable.
Does not constrict or bunch up in crotch. Very comfortable.
Has a “mesh” (perforated for additional ‘breathability’) opening fly. Very comfortable.
Boxer Brief, with legs that do not ride up. Very comfortable.
Flat seams for no abrasion. Very comfortable.
Wide, flat elastic waistband that has a soft “brushed” finish on the inside for comfort. Very comfortable.

Low cost. Outstanding value. Four pack for just $14.97

I consider this an outstanding value. I would pay more for them if I had to, based on my comfort experience with them while sailing 4,000nm offshore this year.

Available nationwide in walmart or online. (Twice as expensive on Amazon.)

Try the Exofficio line of pants with built in net style underwear. Nice ventilation and support for the boys....

Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

When I lived aboard in the Virgin Islands there was a saying that went:

Q “What are the 4 things real cruising sailors don’t own?”

A “Deodorant, a razor, and underwear. Oh yeah, and a lawnmower.”

Board shorts without the mesh, no underwear in the tropics.

Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

I wear shorts (bathing suits) and pants with built in mesh underwear. saves time, effort, laundry, selection, and space. they keep me cool and supported, but are hard to find, Try Ebay for best selection and prices of clothes. I only have to wear underwear with dress clothes.

"Give n Go" briefs by Ex Officio. All I've worn for undies for past 8 years of cruising. Can rinse in the evening and have dry by morning.

"and wouldn't sleep with socks and gloves and a headpiece on any night,"

Try sleeping in a tent at -55C (-67F), you wear a lot of funny things!! Style is not important at those temps. For tropics, I agree swim shorts, net lined. If going "commando' don't go near anything electrical or mechanical and watch for sun burning!!

Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

Tropics? None.
Cotton probably not the best in humidity like that. Maybe see if a synthetic or mix works for you. Everyone is different. Maybe Gulden or Buck Naked would work.

Re: Men's Underwear Confessional!

These are the most comfortable I've ever worn. And the price is right at $5/pair. Better than the Under Armour or Adidas, IMHO.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'll have to try those Duluth Trading, AND1 and Columbia Diamond Mesh to see how they compare.
