I love it when a problem has an easy solution like this!

I'd never heard of the products you're referring to, so I clicked a link in the post recommending those products. My first thought when I saw the page which came up was "snake oil."

I have friends who believe all the latest conspiracy theories and quack medical claims. Some of these claims would be downright comical if people weren't living in fear stoked by greedy scammers and wanna-be experts.

Is this when we add that ethanol is one of the major drivers in some forms of cancer?

Maybe I'm getting old but I rarely take these studies seriously. This one in particular with it's small margins. In the past...Eggs are bad...no, eggs are good. Coffee bad, coffee good and so on. Crap, people are living into their 90's now. I like to think moderation is the key.

No, it's not just scammers. These same gullible friends I mentioned believe all the political BS they're being fed, too. And of course they only listen to "news" from their own party. (Yes, I'm being deliberately vague so you can assume either party's name.)

So kind of a wash?

I prefer fish WITOUT mercury, but I'm afraid that ship has sailed.

Maybe if we spent the Billions currently spent on global warming on mercury remediation instead?
Only relatively few species have high levels of Vitamin D, and even if you eat them you have to eat A LOT to increase your own vitamin d level.
What really matters is sunshine on your body, and if thats not possible, then supplements.
