Looking to Live Aboard - San Francisco Bay

Gudday!

She's little, but there's no need to exclude her from the dance. I'm talking about my boat. I live in AZ and am buying a boat in San Rafael and am looking to live aboard in that general area. The problem is that most of the marina's I've called around the bay don't allow liveaboards for a wee lass like my girl (she's only 28 feet). Does anyone know of a cheap marina that might fit my needs?

Open to any advice at this stage, no matter how crazy.

Have you tried Berkeley Marina? I keep seeing their ads for liveaboard slips in Lat 38. Don't know size limitations, though. Maybe you can tie something to the bow and make her a 30 footer if necessary.

Sded - I haven't tried them but I'm adding them to the list for tomorrow. I did offer to tie my lil' gal to another boat just to make the length requirements but some of the harbor masters didn't exactly see the funny side of that. Maybe it was in my delivery?

Berkeley Marina allows liveaboards as small as 24' but there is a wait list.

Say it is a Triton 30.

Charlie - Mostly the min length seems to be over 30! BTW Heart of Darkness is an excellent book, bravo.
