Living Aboard in Nova Scotia

Hello there, I've been looking into living aboard in Halifax next year. I'm currently living on Vancouver Island and will be attending college in Halifax. I was wondering if it's feasible to live aboard on a smaller sailboat (23-26 ft) part time during the year. How many months could you get away with before it gets too cold? What live aboard harbours would you recommend in the Halifax area?

If any members have any further information to provide that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Shane.
