Liveaboard Slip in the Washington DC Area

Does anyone have a recommendation on a liveaboard slip convenient to DC other than Gangplank, possible on the Potomac? Is anyone familiar with Tantallon Marina?

Tantallon would be great if not for two problems. It is shallow getting in, so you don't want to have much draft if you intend to ever go sailing. The other is that there are no shoreside facilities - none. (But they charge a liveaboard fee of $120 a month. That's right, a whopping fee for using none of the non existant facilities). And a third.... it is run by one of those marina managers who have a lot of... um... character... and attitude. One who has a lack of appreciation for such things as getting permits before starting to build things.... which results in them being shut down. (So don't expect the facilities anytime soon. They've been "coming soon" for years).

Other than all that, it is a lovely setting, very well protected from weather, and pretty convenient for working in the DC area.
