I have been searching high and low for a boat
and think I have found one in Pula Croatia
that looks suitable. It's a Gib Sea 114 and the owner has accepted my offer and hopefully, I will drive to Croatia
next week. It is impossible to fly there at the moment so my poor old car will need to make it from Spain
to Croatia through all the border controls.
Everything is in lockdown and it is impossible to move anywhere, which would mean that I would have to start my Liveaboard
life in Croatia. As I know nothing about Croatia, having lived in Spain
for the past 15 years. Are there any liveaboards out there that can come to my aid and tell me everything I need to survive?
Things like maybe:
- What are the local headaches with buying a Croatia flagged boat?
- What local documents do the local port authorities and police request from you when you least expect it?
- Where the best anchorages are?
- Where are the best marinas for diesel and shopping?
- Which places to avoid?
I am sure you all have lots of wonderful advice
and my wife and I would really appreciate anything you can tell us before we left stranded on a boat in the Adriatic
sea surrounded by the COVID
