I've lived aboard my sailboat since April of 2006 in
Alaska. I started out in Cordova, AK and it was ok. I had a good
oil heater. Do not use
propane for heat. It's good to cook with but not to heat. I was in Cordova for a couple of years and moved to Craig, AK in the southeast. It's warmer here and I still live on my
boat. It's a lot cheaper than living on land. I did some reading and learned how to sail myself. I do have an exceptional
boat and that is the only reason I'm still alive. The boat took care me in hard times. It's a "bluewater" boat. The Harbinger was built in 1974. It was the 13th
hull of about 100 hulls built by
Blue Water Boats in Woodenville, WA.
