It sure does. But you could say the same about Boston or Portland and there's live aboards there!

If you're on Ilsesboro, it's just a hop and a skip away. Why not just hop over and have a walk around Belfast harbor? It's pretty small. Knock on a few hulls, and say "Hello? Anyone home?"

Like psk125 mentioned, Jackets in late Sept., Gloves and Boots late Nov., Snow Shovels through March. Fun cold Maine. Know it very well.

I've done that already but it's a gated dock. There's no gates on the web.

Really? Never used to be, and still appears to be quite open. Regardless, Maine folks are friendly, and many times "bored" and love to chat. Ahayah!

If I were you, I'd head over and walk around. They'll be someone there to talk to, and they will gladly share any info they have about live-aboards - if there are any. I guarantee it.

In small towns in Maine, everyone knows everyone, and gossip flies around with ease.

You'll quickly be known as "The out-a-statah who was asking about the live aboards." hahahaha
