Hope I'm not jumping the gun or jinxing the deal, but my offer was accepted and I'm really excited - as many of you advised, when you see THE ONE, you just know it.
1984
Pearson 303 in excellent condition with many upgrades and
electronics. The elderly gentleman
sold for
health reasons, and even offered to help me do some
maintenance and sail with me to literally show me the ropes and idiosyncracies - even gave me the
mooring for the rest of the season for free, including unlimited
water taxi.
So, I called my
insurance company and they'll check on surveyors - get that ball rolling. IF all goes well, I'll take possession before the end of September. But, I'll actually be sailing it with my new mentor in the meantime. I should have a slip and be
living aboard by October or sooner.
Thanks to all for your help. The "what
boat should I buy questions are over, for a while" and the other
newbie questions about everything else will begin!!
