Brand new here. Was wondering if there are any liveaboards who rent out a cabin on their boat for a newbie to kinda learn the ropes and see if the lifestyle suits them?

Yes, but usually not ‘rent’ (as most live aboards don’t have charter insurance nor visas allowing business use). Just ask for a spot, including time frame and geographic location, and you may get some interest. Generally you pay for your travel and your share of the food.
