US marinas tend to ask to see coverage if you are staying more than a short stop. In the past us$300k has been fine.

Marinas in NZ often ask to see coverage. In Australia, at least the east coast, they ask to see aud$10,000,000 liability coverage. If you are US insured it is far cheaper to purchase an Australian liability policy than to try and up your US policy to us$7,000,000
