If you won the lottery

This "winter blues" question was inspired by the "work on a boat vs sailing her" thread. If you won a lottery what kind of a boat would you get? Or if you'd keep your current boat what extra mods or doodahs would you install?

I would probably get an early 80s IOR Swan 47 or Mariner 47 (NH). Refit inside and out - update engine, electronics, rigging, gel coat, the usual needed stuff on a 30+ year old boat. Not really into anything 90s or younger, just not my cup of tea aesthetically or otherwise. Or may be would look into a steel or aluminum 45-50 footer but really don't know anything about them as these were always out of reach for poor old me.

Re: If you won the lottery

What's the lottery win in cold hard cash? Wasn't there one in the USA where Someone won $320 million...

I would probably sell my Beneteau and move to a "Blue Water" Ship.

I'd buy whatever boat I wanted and go sailing without any financial worries.

Boat: So many boats to choose from. Would prefer something that is not an AWB, and that is beachable...

Re: If you won the lottery

how to become a millionaire and own a yacht?.....................
start off as a multi-millionaire and you will soon become a millionaire

I think I would buy a boatyard and a chandlery,(with a licence to print money)......then start looking for a yacht

Re: If you won the lottery

I'm not greedy, I could make do with a Krogen 58 I think. Although they are coming out with a new 68' Expedition model. I guess it depends on the payout.

Re: If you won the lottery

I think I'd keep the boat I have. But man, the inside accommodations and instrumentation would be phenomenal. Stip it to the fiberglass hulls and have it all redone. Replace everything that's removable.
