That's fantastic, I am so happy for you! My wife and I are in the processes of setting up our businesses to run on remote control. We hope to be boat shopping in Florida by late spring, thenAthenians in the Bahamas by January 2013. If you havent headed further South, maybe we will see you there!

Re: I Have Pulled the Trigger !
I still need the survey. I already know I will need to pull her out next summer to get the bottom done, but it is just a scrape and paint. I didn't see any blisters on the hull, but that's for the surveyor to confirm.

Re: I Have Pulled the Trigger !
Congrats Don, from the photo she looks like she'll pass muster on the survey, then it's all down hill to sunnier climes.

Don,
Are you going to keep the name? See you in the Bahamas.

Re: I Have Pulled the Trigger !
Name changing ceremony will be held in Salt Ponds Marina, Hampton Va.
New name will be announced then.
Matt and Christie left a bottle of bubbly which I will use then. Thanks Matt & Christie

Re: I Have Pulled the Trigger !
Survey is complete, did the sea trials yesterday. Kaleo handles very light, corrected very nice in a puff. Had a little problem with the engine, but we fixed that. We maxed out at 7 Knts under power. Did 5 knts on the jib alone, 8 knts with the main. There are a few things that need to be cleared and then we close. It will take time to get accustomed to the boat, she's bigger than any I've sailed before, but I'll manage.
I do feel I could brave the Chesapeake solo right now, in a good window.
