We've had our '87 35.5 since early 2010 and mostly cruised South
Florida and the
Florida Keys. Haven't been to the Bahamas yet but expect to soon. We usually spend 6 months living on her at a time. For two there's plenty of room if you use the
cockpit as additional living area. Ours is fully enclosed via
dodger and
bimini top. While at
anchor we remove the
helm wheel and
helm / rear
fiberglass seat. In that configuration most of our time at
anchor is spent enjoying the top side for sun, the
cockpit as our sitting area, and the rear portion aft/off the
boat as our private swimming area. For my wife and I our 35.5 has plenty of living room, is easy to park when coming into a crowded marina, and is a joy to sail and
motor as it's a big ride but not too big. My $0.02.
