Re: How many heads on a mono for couple?

Convert one head to a dedicated shower. If you have guests in the am one can be showering and the others can still use the head without having to wait and go into a wet shower stall to sit on the stool.

That problem doesn’t exist with a proper, separate shower stall.

If you wipe down the shower area with a towel after a shower you accomplish the above, plus you eliminate mold growth and always have a clean shower area. Only takes a couple of minutes more. One head is all we have and would want. I would much rather have space to store stuff more beneficial to our r cruising. We never have guests spend the night and it is only the two of us. Our rule is 6 for cocktails, 4 for dinner, 2 for the night.

Re: How many heads on a mono for couple?

Many survive with one head, but the old adage "two heads are better than one" holds true (couldnt resist)

We use fwd head for shower and storage, but actuvate for gueste. Our normal head is an electric, and while problems are rare, the idea of a back up head is nice.

Would not make it an essential criteria for boat selection, but rather a nice t have.

Re: How many heads on a mono for couple?

I still say 1 GOOD head/shower is better than 2 smaller ones. My Hunter 410 has 2 heads/showers of good size, but I just checked another cruiser's Hunter 356 that has only 1 head/shower, but is better than either of mine!!!!

And I think this comment is the crux of happy cruising. The two of you need to agree, and my wife will put up with one reluctantly but wants two when we have guests. I'm just assembling my "wants" list for the next, bigger boat 😆😆

Woman here. One head is fine. But I also bought a house with only one bathroom.
